As a Bookkeeper, you'll play a crucial role in their success story, making sure their financial records are pristine and allowing them to chart a course for even greater achievements.

Job Description

As our Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for accurately capturing every financial transaction with precision. Your expert eye for detail and sharp analytical skills will ensure our books are balanced, and our financial reports are a testament to accuracy.

Your responsibilities with include, but are not limited to:

  • Accounts Receivable: Managing and track payments owed, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records to support financial reporting and cash flow management
  • Accounts Payable: Managing and processing payments owed, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining up-to-date records of outstanding liabilities
  • Bank Reconciliation: Compare and match the transactions recorded in Cube's accounting system with the corresponding entries from the bank statement. Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial records
  • Credit Card Reconciliation: Compare and match credit card transactions recorded in Cube's accounting system with the corresponding entries, identify and rectify discrepancies, such as missing transactions, duplicate charges, or unauthorised expenses
  • Expense Reimbursements: Compensate employees for out-of-pocket business expenses, verify documentation, issue timely reimbursements in accordance with company policies and financial controls
  • Payroll: Process employee salaries, bonuses based on employee attendance records and time sheets. Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, employment details, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions. Update and manage the employee database to ensure accurate and up-to-date payroll information. Provide all relevant documentation to employees for payroll reference
  • Superannuation Reconciliation: Ensure employee superannuation contributions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and paid to the respective superannuation funds within the agreed time lines
  • Calculating and prepare BAS, IAS Payroll Tax and Workers Compensation
  • Fringe Benefit Tax, Cash flow preparation and monitoring

The Successful Applicant

Applicants for this position must have proven MYOB experience. Ability to be self sufficient is of the utmost importance as well as the ability to work independently as well as be a team player.

You must also have experience with accounting principles and practices, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations in addition to effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, vendors, and team members.
